Hello  beautiful bloggers

A selfie is when people face the camera to themselves and take a real close photo. It's often used when they are having a new experience and wanting to post it on Facebook,Instagram,Snap chat etc

Selfie #3

This lady's selfie looks like that she is in Italy is touring and exploring a new country that she is visiting.  She is standing on the edge of a tall building taking her selfie. This is a very common selfie many people around the world take to show people that are living on the edge.It looks very risky and is often put back up on Facebook, Instagram etc. In the background there are lots of houses, buildings and a beach or sea of some sort. The building that the lady is standing on gives her a nice view for her selfie. Often people want selfies or photos with a beautiful view and this lady has found the right place to take her photo. She must be on holiday and taking photos in all sorts of places wanting to show her family and friends back at home her trip experience. Also she may have her own collection in the future for memory. This is so she can look back at it when she has grown up and sees what she had experienced and done when she was young.

I believe the lady in this picture is doing what I have stated above.

Hello Beautiful bloggers

In New Zealand we have a city that's called Rotorua. It's about 3 hours to 3 and half hour drive from Auckland. I have been to Rotorua three times with my family. Every time that we start to enter Rotorua  you can smell the disgusting smells from a distance, but you start getting use to it when there for awhile.  Many people go there especially to see the mud pools and geothermal pools. One of  the most famous geothermal pools is called Devils bath in Wai-o-Tapu.

These are 5 names I have come up to rename the pool:
1) Slimy Troll Snot *
2) Dare to explore bath
3) Dragons green vomit
4) Hell's puddle
5) Disgusting wonders pool

The name I like the most is Slimy Troll snot. What would you chose?

Hello beautiful bloggers

New Zealand is a country full of wonders with its beautiful place that we here are very fortunate to  have the opportunity visit.  One of these place is called Milford sound and its been referred to being the eighth wonder of the world.

I have chosen to explore Milford sound by a boat cruise.  The reason that I have chosen the boat is because I have never been in a boat before so it would be my first experience of not only exploring the Milford Sound but also being on a boat.  I am also feeling lazy so it would be cheat way to explore and see all the beautiful sights without any hard work of walking around.

I wonder if there are more people that would chose to explore by feet than by boat or helicopter.

Hello Bloggers

Deep in the ocean there is a dark pitch area called midnight zone.  We dont know much about the creatures that are found in the deep ocean because human haven't fully explored it. One of the known creatures that is found in the deep ocean is called Colossal Squid which weighs 495kgs.  In  New Zealand we have one of these squids on displayed in the wellington Te Rapa museum which weighs 500kgs.

The math problem we have to solve is that since the squid weigh 500 kgs how many kids and adults will it take to move the squid.
An adult can move 25kgs and a child can move 15kgs.

There many ways you can answer this question. My answer is 20 adults.
1 adult can carry 25kg so 4 adults x 25 kgs =100
so tat mean we have to do it like this: 4 (adults)x 5 (hundred)= 20 adults
Answer = 20 adults

Hello beautiful bloggers

In New Zealand we are very fortunate to have such amazing and unique sea creatures.  One of those sea creature are the blue penguin. The blue penguin can be found in the South Island in Omaru and can be very hard to spot because they are mainly in the water and come out at night while the rest of us sleep.

Just like the blue penguin there are some of us they an stay up all night and some of us that like to go to bed early and get up early in the morning.I am a night owl on the weekend and holidays but I am early riser in the weekdays especially when it's school.  My dad is a night owl when he doesn't have work the next morning but most of the time he is an early riser because he goes to work early, my mum has my baby sister so her time is unknown just depends on the rest of the family sleep.  My younger sister are like me and my brother is an early riser most of the time. I wonder if there are more night owl in the holidays compared to school days.

Hello Blogger

In the world there are many types of plants. Some of these plants live on water and some live on land and they survive in different conditions. Many plant at least have two or three similarities and differences.

The two plant that I have chosen chosen are Hydnellum Peckii and Corpse flower also known as  ' Titan Arum'.

Similarities:

1) They both have an unpleasant smell.
2) They both live on land
3) They are both soft

Differences:
1) The Hydnellum Peckii is a fungus and Titan Arum is a flower.
2) The Hydnellum is edible the Titan Arum is not.
3) They are both different shape.

Hey bloggers,

One of the strongest and toughest tree in the world is call the Kiwi Mangrove.  It is located here In Auckland New Zealand.  Its is the toughest because it can handle the most harshest conditions. For our task we have to think of the strongest person we know personally or it can be a fiction person from the movies or TV show.

The strongest person that I know of is Khabib Nurmagomedov. Khabib is from Russia. He is a boxer and recently won his match against Connor McGregor. When he was 9 years old his dad made him wrestle a bear.  I think that in my opinion  is someone very strong if they have survived a wrestle against a bear.  I dont know many people surviving a wrestle against a bear let alone a nine year old boy.
I am just wondering if anybody else think that Khabib is the strongest person they know.

Hello Bloggers

Flax weaving has been around for a very long time in New Zealand. Flax has been used to make baskets, mats, hats, ect. Its even used today by some people.
At my school my teacher Whaea Morag taught us how to weave with Flax. she taught us how to weave a mat.

I am very interested in weaving because I love art and this is a form of art.  I love it that you can use Flax which is easily found here in New Zealand around us to create amazing and useful things with.  I have a great interest in creativity so by just playing around with it trying to weave different shapes with Flax you might discover something new and come up with your own ideas for making amazing things.

Let me know if anyone has weaved anything with Flax.

Hello beautiful bloggers

Every year there is a cycling race in lake Taupo and about 7500 people compete in it. Its 160 KM long but you can even do half if you like.  I f I were given free tickets to take three  people with me I would take with me the following people.

I would take my BFF Tunde .The reason I would take Tunde is because she is super kind and so trustworthy. She was my first friend when I started school. I know that if something happened to me she would look after me.

The second person I would choose is my dad.  The reason I would choose my dad is because he always cares for me and hes super strong. He likes to also play tricks on me and makes my day fun. He always make me happy when I am sad so I know that if I feel down for any reason he would definitely make me feel better.

The third person I would choose would be my mum.  I would choose my mum because I know if I am hungry she always has something for me to eat.  She always looks after me and helps me with any problems I have.  She is funny so she make me laugh and I know she will make my day fun.

Thank for reading my blog.

Hey bloggers,

Today I am super happy that I finish week 1 because that was so long,we had to do 5 days and in one day we had to do 3 activity's. The same this week but on the first day we have to do four activity's.

In New Zealand we are so lucky that we have so many option for summer activities.  There are so many park where you can play the sport of your choice with families and friends or play on the free play grounds and there are also many beaches where you can swim to your heart desire.  There is also free holiday program for the children through out the country especially the ones that are done by the Libraries.

well here is my picture

This is me doing my Dare to explore booklet from the Auckland Three Kings Library.  This is my favorite summer activity because it has different task for me to complete under the trees outside or inside the house, especially when its super hot and I dont want to get sun burnt. There is lots of fun things to complete like reading picnic, word finds, writing your own book, listening for sounds outside, reading with a friend and many more.  When we complete the booklet there is a water party that we get invited to on the 21st of January. I am looking forward to that so hopefully I can finish all the tasks in the booklet.  I am wondering if anyone else is doing this activity as well. Leave a comment to let me know if you are.

Hello beautiful bloggers

I am going to tell you all about life in New Zealand in 2018. I live In Auckland so I will describe to this city to you. New Zealand is one of the distant country from most of the countries in the world.

New Zealand is the most beautiful country in  the world.  Its full of the most greenest trees, hills, parks and coast walk areas. If you like tramping there are so many peaceful trails that you can take.  These have many of our native plants and trees, bushes and birds.  Auckland is one of the most populated city in New Zealand.  There are lots of beaches where you can swim. Most of the beaches have restaurants so you can always have something to eat and because New Zealand is a multi-cultural country so you can find a majority of the foods to cater to your taste buds. All the beaches have sand so you can even build your own sand castle.  There are many parks like one tree hill or should I say no tree hill. If you have children there is a playground here to entertain them.  There is also a summit in there you can walk up and you can see the whole of Auckland from there and get a breath of fresh air and take photos for your memory.   There is also a place called the sky tower. Its one of the tallest building here in Auckland, people can even sky dive from it and it has a hotel to stay in while you are saying here. New Zealand  has so much to explore.

Thank you for reading my blog.

Hey beautiful bloggers,

Today me and my family went all the way to River head to pick strawberries, but unfortunately when we got there, they were already closed for the day so instead we had Ice cream.  Me , my younger sister and brother were allowed to choose two scoops.  I chose the bubble gum flavor and mint flavor ice cream. Its quiet late now but I have decided to do a task from the Summer learning journey.  For this task we have to write a letter to a friend or family member, pretending we went for a class trip to Tundra. Tundra is a very cold place where the temperature is -28 degrees and is treeless with nothing green in terms of nature. We have to write 5-6 sentences I am writing my letter to my BFF, her name is Tunde.

Here is my letter

Dear Tunde

How are you?  I hope you are good. I am also doing really well.  I have some exciting news to tell you about our school trip to Tundra. Tundra was super cold.  It was a good thing that I took lots of warm clothes with me.  I couldn't  go outside without my super warm jacket.  The weather had made my skin super dry and flaky. In Tundra there were Arctic foxes, Reindeer's,muskox's,snowy owl,Arctic hare and lemmings.I stayed in a hotel made of Ice it is just like Elsa's palace, but at least inside was safe and cozy I wish you could come with me because I was a bit scared too.

Yours sincerely
Marwah

I am going to go to bed now.

Hi Beautiful bloggers

Today I have been doing a lot of running trying to keep fit. I have done 160 laps around my house so I am very tired and bored at the same time. I decided to do the next activity from the summer learning journey website. Have you ever heard of loggers? I had never heard of logger and logging till I started to do this task. Logging is cutting down trees and the people who does that job of cutting the trees are called loggers. I am going to give you two reason why I believe that logging should not be allowed in New Zealand.

First reason
We are so fortunate that In New Zealand we are surrounded by so many beautiful trees and forests. I believe that logging should not be allowed in New Zealand because the trees provide us with oxygen that we (humans) breath in and the trees take in the carbon dioxide that we breath out. So without these trees we would get sick very quickly because of all the bad air around us and if there are no trees left we could die because we wont have oxygen to breath.

second reason
The second reason that I believe that logging shouldn't be allowed is because the poor birds wont have homes because their homes will be destroyed by there not being enough trees for all the birds.  This will make the birds fight among each other, and we will have injured birds or dead birds. I think that wont be fear because we dont like it if someone was to take our homes away or destroy our home and I dont think the birds will like that either.

I hope you agree with my reasons.

see ya later

Hey beautiful bloggers

I think this weekend we are going for a road trip with my family.  We are going to a resort maybe either in Taupo or Rotorua. That should be really fun.  The last time we went, we stayed at Regal Palm resort in Rotorua . We had a big Family room, a big spa in our bathroom, there was a huge swimming pool outside and a kiddie pool. Also there was a tennis court and mini golf section.

As part of the Summer learning journey the task write about a hotel that I would build. I also have to create a room out of the hotel. We could use paper to draw it  and then take a photo or create it on google drawings. I am going to draw mine on google drawing.

My hotel is not a ordinary hotel, it is under the sea. The building looks like a huge palace with 99 huge rooms.  The outside of the building is made out of gold with shiny clear glass window that allows you to see everything in the water from the inside of the hotel, like all the sea creatures.  The hotel is so shiny you can see it sparkle from miles away. It has gold lift and it has ten stores. The inside walls of  the hotel is gold and the furniture is mainly turquoise and violet. To get to the hotel you have to go by boat. My hotel is called Gold Treasure Hotel.

Hey beautiful  bloggers

I hope you all are having an awesome holiday. I also cant believe how fast time is going.  We have nearly had three weeks of the holiday already gone.

The task that I am doing today is about Sir Edmund Hillary.  Sir Edmund Hillary is the courageous man who was the first man to climb right to the top of Mt Everest in 1953. Mt Everest is the tallest mountain in the world. I have written five question that I would like to ask Sir Edmond Hillary.

5 Question I would ask to sir Edmund Hillary

1) How old was he when climed the mountain?

2) Was there times when you wanted to give up, and if so what motivated to carry on?

3) Did he pack a bag to take with him, if he did what did he take?

4) How long did it take to clime Mt Everest?

5) What was the hardest thing about climbing Mt Everest?

hope you enjoy
