Hi Beautiful bloggers

Today I have been doing a lot of running trying to keep fit. I have done 160 laps around my house so I am very tired and bored at the same time. I decided to do the next activity from the summer learning journey website. Have you ever heard of loggers? I had never heard of logger and logging till I started to do this task. Logging is cutting down trees and the people who does that job of cutting the trees are called loggers. I am going to give you two reason why I believe that logging should not be allowed in New Zealand.

First reason
We are so fortunate that In New Zealand we are surrounded by so many beautiful trees and forests. I believe that logging should not be allowed in New Zealand because the trees provide us with oxygen that we (humans) breath in and the trees take in the carbon dioxide that we breath out. So without these trees we would get sick very quickly because of all the bad air around us and if there are no trees left we could die because we wont have oxygen to breath.

second reason
The second reason that I believe that logging shouldn't be allowed is because the poor birds wont have homes because their homes will be destroyed by there not being enough trees for all the birds.  This will make the birds fight among each other, and we will have injured birds or dead birds. I think that wont be fear because we dont like it if someone was to take our homes away or destroy our home and I dont think the birds will like that either.

I hope you agree with my reasons.

see ya later
Bye

  1. Hello again Marwah! Billy here from the Summer Learning Journey team.

I love the way that you write a few sentences about your holidays and catch the reader up on what you have been doing before you begin each activity. It's great that you put in the extra effort.

I'm glad you are against loggers. Maybe you could start a group called Bloggers Against Loggers!

You've provided two well thought out reasons supporting your stance against loggers. Trees are a vital part of nature, they give us oxygen and help to clean the air. Trees also provide a place for birds to nest, as well as lots of other animals. Cutting down trees is simply destroying the homes of animals. I certainly wouldn't like it if someone randomly started knocking down my home.

Do you think there is a way we can cut down some trees but do so in a sustainable way?

    Thanks, Billy.
