Hello Blogger

White bait is a fish well known in New Zealand. It is served in some restaurants. It's a popular food I like fish but I have never tried white bait but I have eaten another fish I wonder if it tastes the same as the one I have eaten. Do you wan to know what other food I like because I told you in a blog post that I like pancakes this is my second favorite food is butter chicken. I hope you could cook it one day

Here is the recipe:

Ingredients:
u
500 gram boneless chicken

Ingredients for the marinate
1 tsp salt
1/2  red chilli powder
1/4 tsp tumeric  powder
1 tsp tandoori masala
1 tsp garlic, ginger paste
1 tsp lime juice

Ingredients for the sauce
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp of ginger garlic paste
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 small onion chopped
250g tomato
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp of cumin powder
1/2 tsp of coriander powder
1 tsp of red chilli powder
1/2 tsp of meat masala

1) In a bowl put the chicken and add all the marinate ingredients and mix well cover with cling wrap and leave in the fridge for 1-2 hours
2) In a sauce pan add 1/2 the butter to melt then add onions and let it get soft and translucent then add garlic ginger paste then add  tumeric powder, cumin , coriander powder red chilli powder meat masala salt and stir for 30 seconds then tomatoes.  Leave on medium heat for 20 minute and stir every few minutes.  then take off heat put into blender . Blend everything very well but be very careful because sauce is hot.
3) In another pan add the remaining butter. fry the marinated chicken pieces .Add the sauce from the blender back into the chicken and let cook together on low heat for a further 15 minutes.

Serve with rice or you can eat it with nan bread.

I hope you enjoy this meal. Let me know if you cook it and how it turns out.
bye

  1. Talofa Marwah,

You have shared a detailed recipe as well as your list of ingredients for Butter Chicken, I like that you were detailed with measurements and instructions. Is this a family recipe? Perhaps next time you could include some pictures of the dish so people who may not have heard of this dish can see what it looks like. I bet it would encourage them to try and make it.

When I make Butter Chicken I like to put a lot spice in it. Recently I tried Paradise Restaurant's butter chicken with freshly made naan, it was beautiful and very tasty! If you haven't been to Paradise I would definitely recommend it!

Hope your holiday is going well.

    Toe feiloa'i fo'i,

    Cia.
