Hey Bloggers!
Today was My last day at Hay Park School. I am going to intermediate next year! I decided to do the SLJ. For this activity we had to create our own Kowhaiwhai representing an aspect of summer. This activity is about Tanerore (the son of Tama Nui Te Ra). Tanerore is the personification of shimmering air because he preformed the haka for his mother. If you don't know what personification is, it is something that is not living but it has been said as a living thing.
My Kowhaiwhai represents Aroha (Love) for the nature. Everything looks very pure during summer. I really enjoyed creating it because drawing is my passion.
Here is my Kowhaiwhai:
I hope you like my Kowhaiwhai!
What do you rate it out of ten?

Kia ora Marwah,

Wow - what an outstanding kowhaiwhai pattern you have made - ka pai! I really like the love heart shape you have made and the beautiful word aroha written in the middle. Did you enjoy this activity and learning about Tānerore? It sounds like you have learnt heaps, which is awesome.
I will keep an eye out for more of your awesome blog posts over the summer.
Keep up the great work!
Fiona (SLJ).

This is another awesome Kowhaiwahi! Ka pai!
I really like how clearly this expresses your love for nature.
I’m so glad you enjoyed this task! That is great to hear.
I love to go out in nature, especially on walks in the forest or to the beach. Where do you like to enjoy nature?
Keep up the great work!
Nga mihi,
Charlotte
