A traditional Maori game ( Poi Rakau) (Holiday task 4)

I want to teach you guys a game called Poi Rakau. It is a really fun game! I learnt this game from a teacher who teaches in Waikowhai Intermediate and I played with some people from Lynfield Collage, Waikowhai Intermediate and some student from other Primary Schools. The More People In The Game The Better!       This is how you play:

Everybody in the game needs a stick that is about 1 metre or slightly longer. You have to hold it in front of you and then somebody has to call out Maui which mean left or Matau which means right. You leave the stick where it is and try to move quickly to the next stick before it falls. At Lynfield Collage they added some more thing to make it more fun.

They can also say Pakipaki which means clap you have let go of your stick and clap one time and try to catch the stick before it falls .  Another thing the person can yell out is Mowhiwhiti which means jump but this time you jump with your stick. I hope you enjoy playing this with your family and friends.

My programming Video ( Holiday Task 3 )

 Hello Everybody,

I hope you guys are having a good holiday. As one of the activities  I made a video about programming. I used different arrows to move the character. I tried to avoid touching the other Items. Facts about a Kereru bird (Holiday task 2)

I want to teach you about a bird or should i say pigeon that is endemic to NZ. This pigeon is a wood pigeon and is called Kereru. It is one of the largest birds in the world. I will stop myself there because I have made a DLO ( Digital Learning Object ) about this specie that I would like to share with you.  I hope you learn something new and pass on the message so that this bird can become more common and not extinct.

How to stay safe online (Holiday task 1)

Today I decided this is the day I should start the Holiday blogging challenge.  I made a pick a path about Interland ( it is about being internet awesome) . I made it a little bit more interesting by putting points. I have put 5 questions on the pick a path. Comment how many points you have got.
