Hi wonderful Bloggers
Today's task activity 3 is all about the plant cactus. We had some cactus plants in our garden but we removed them because they were too prickly. I hate being pricked by them. I just found out today that cactus only need 3 mls of water per day that is an amazing fact that I didn't know about. They have thick parts where they store their water. Even my baby sister drink more water than a cactus.
I am going to explain how much water a cactus uses in one year. This shouldn't be that hard because we know that one year has 365 days.
Days in one year = 365
Water cactus has per day =3mls
so we going to use multiplication to figure this out
365 x 3=1095
Answer: 1095 mls per year
Bye for now
Kia ora Marwah,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Rachel and I am a member of the Summer Learning Journey blogging team. I am so excited to see that you have joined the programme this year and are posting activities so regularly. This is great! I also love your positivity and the way that you introduced your blog with 'Hi Wonderful bloggers.' It made me feel really special to be reading it!
I also appreciated it that you told us a little bit about cacti and included an explanation alongside your answer for this maths problem. You're absolutely right that the the cactus would need 1095 mls of water in a year to survive. It really isn't very much, is it?
I see from your post that it is less water than your baby sister drinks. How old is she? I have a son who is now 8 years old and a niece and nephew who are 4 and 2. They are all getting so big!
I hope that you will continue to share your positivity and your great blog posts with us this summer.
Warm regards,
Rachel :)
she is 5 months and thank you for the nice comment
ReplyDeleteHi Marwah,
DeleteThank you so much for writing back! I can still remember what my son was like at five months of age. He was starting to roll and crawl around a little bit. It is such a fun age!
I hope that you and your family have a really fun day together.
Warm regards,
Rachel
