The crazy scientist visits Hay Park School

Good afternoon bloggers,

On Tuesday week 3  a crazy scientist came and showed us amazing experiments. We all enjoyed it and my class had to choose there favorite experiment I chose the elephant toothpaste. It was like an explosion of fire. We could see the steam coming out of it now lets head over to my writing.

  The crazy scientist

On the 15 of May a crazy scientist came to our school to show us some experiences. My favorite part was when he was making  elephant toothpaste. It was like an volcano explosion. He made it with (Ho2o) it is a dangerous liquid you can die from it if you drink it. Then you add dish washing liquid and he said elephants like their toothpaste to be colorful so he put red into the toothpaste. The last thing he put into it was catalyst. It looked like fluffy puffy cloud slime I felt like squishing it.

Hello  beautiful bloggers

A selfie is when people face the camera to themselves and take a real close photo. It's often used when they are having a new experience and wanting to post it on Facebook,Instagram,Snap chat etc

Selfie #3

This lady's selfie looks like that she is in Italy is touring and exploring a new country that she is visiting.  She is standing on the edge of a tall building taking her selfie. This is a very common selfie many people around the world take to show people that are living on the edge.It looks very risky and is often put back up on Facebook, Instagram etc. In the background there are lots of houses, buildings and a beach or sea of some sort. The building that the lady is standing on gives her a nice view for her selfie. Often people want selfies or photos with a beautiful view and this lady has found the right place to take her photo. She must be on holiday and taking photos in all sorts of places wanting to show her family and friends back at home her trip experience. Also she may have her own collection in the future for memory. This is so she can look back at it when she has grown up and sees what she had experienced and done when she was young.

I believe the lady in this picture is doing what I have stated above.

Hello Beautiful bloggers

In New Zealand we have a city that's called Rotorua. It's about 3 hours to 3 and half hour drive from Auckland. I have been to Rotorua three times with my family. Every time that we start to enter Rotorua  you can smell the disgusting smells from a distance, but you start getting use to it when there for awhile.  Many people go there especially to see the mud pools and geothermal pools. One of  the most famous geothermal pools is called Devils bath in Wai-o-Tapu.

These are 5 names I have come up to rename the pool:
1) Slimy Troll Snot *
2) Dare to explore bath
3) Dragons green vomit
4) Hell's puddle
5) Disgusting wonders pool

The name I like the most is Slimy Troll snot. What would you chose?

Hello beautiful bloggers

New Zealand is a country full of wonders with its beautiful place that we here are very fortunate to  have the opportunity visit.  One of these place is called Milford sound and its been referred to being the eighth wonder of the world.

I have chosen to explore Milford sound by a boat cruise.  The reason that I have chosen the boat is because I have never been in a boat before so it would be my first experience of not only exploring the Milford Sound but also being on a boat.  I am also feeling lazy so it would be cheat way to explore and see all the beautiful sights without any hard work of walking around.

I wonder if there are more people that would chose to explore by feet than by boat or helicopter.

Hello Bloggers

Deep in the ocean there is a dark pitch area called midnight zone.  We dont know much about the creatures that are found in the deep ocean because human haven't fully explored it. One of the known creatures that is found in the deep ocean is called Colossal Squid which weighs 495kgs.  In  New Zealand we have one of these squids on displayed in the wellington Te Rapa museum which weighs 500kgs.

The math problem we have to solve is that since the squid weigh 500 kgs how many kids and adults will it take to move the squid.
An adult can move 25kgs and a child can move 15kgs.

There many ways you can answer this question. My answer is 20 adults.
1 adult can carry 25kg so 4 adults x 25 kgs =100
so tat mean we have to do it like this: 4 (adults)x 5 (hundred)= 20 adults
Answer = 20 adults

Hello Blogger

White bait is a fish well known in New Zealand. It is served in some restaurants. It's a popular food I like fish but I have never tried white bait but I have eaten another fish I wonder if it tastes the same as the one I have eaten. Here is the recipe:

1 small onion chopped
250g tomato
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp of cumin powder
1/2 tsp of coriander powder

Blend everything very well but be very careful because sauce is hot.
3) In another pan add the remaining butter. fry the marinated chicken pieces .Add the sauce from the blender back into the chicken and let cook together on low heat for a further 15 minutes.

Serve with rice or you can eat it with nan bread.

I hope you enjoy this meal. Let me know if you cook it and how it turns out.

Hello beautiful bloggers

In New Zealand we are very fortunate to have such amazing and unique sea creatures.  One of those sea creature are the blue penguin. The blue penguin can be found in the South Island in Omaru and can be very hard to spot because they are mainly in the water and come out at night while the rest of us sleep.

Just like the blue penguin there are some of us they an stay up all night and some of us that like to go to bed early and get up early in the morning.I am a night owl on the weekend and holidays but I am early riser in the weekdays especially when it's school.  My dad is a night owl when he doesn't have work the next morning but most of the time he is an early riser because he goes to work early, my mum has my baby sister so her time is unknown just depends on the rest of the family sleep.  My younger sister are like me and my brother is an early riser most of the time. I wonder if there are more night owl in the holidays compared to school days.
