Summer Learning Journey Activity 11 ( Creating a xylophone with Nanogirl)!!!!!!

 Bonjour bloggers!

Today I have made a xylophone. Something I enjoyed about this task was playing the cups. I found that making the tubes were really challenging. I have made a video of myself making the xylophone. I will write down the method and what materials.

Materials:

  • 5 sheets of A4 paper
  • sisscors
  • Tape
  • 4 glass cups
  • water
Method:
  1. Roll your paper in to tubes securing them with tape
  2. Cut the tubes so that it goes long to short
  3. Then stick them all together using tape
  4. There you have it your xylophone
Here is the video:

  1. Kia ora Marwah,

Ka pai on creating such an amazing xylophone! You’ve done a tremendous job, it looks incredible! I also really like how you’ve included written instructions as well as a video demonstration. That’ll help any readers who try to make one as well if they get stuck!

I also like how with your glass xylophone, you have used glasses with lines around them so readers can easily see the different levels of water in each glass. What good thinking.

I’ve never played any instruments bar the recorder but I’ve always wanted to! Can you play any instruments? If so which one(s)? If not, what’s another cool hobby that you have?

Perhaps you could add a picture of your finished xylophone at the start of your blog post so readers know what they’re making.

    Happy blogging!

    Ka kite anō,
    Shannon (SLJ)
