hey bloggers,

Today I am super excited because it is the first day of the summer learning journey. For this activity we have to go on to a website called tourism NZ. We have to find three fun facts about Aotearoa. This is what I thought was fun but before I start I would like to tell you something, we have a Akohiko cluster. There are seven primary schools including my school. One person from the whole cluster will win a drone, I hope that person is me. There are sixty activity's and we have to do the activities to win the drone, you can also comment on other peoples blogs for each comment you can earn 2 points.  Now I am going to tell you three fact about our beautiful country New Zealand.

1. New Zealand's Native bird is called a kiwi. It was named by the Maori people. A kiwi bird is flightless meaning it doesn't fly.  I would like to see a kiwi bird one day.

2.The tallest building in New Zealand is called the Sky Tower. It is 328 meters (1,076 ft) high. You can see all of Auckland from the top of the Sky Tower.

3.In order to become a New Zealand citizen you must take an oath of loyalty to queen Elizabeth.  My mum became New Zealand citizen in 1994 and they had to go to Queen street hall to take an oath of loyalty to the queen where they were presented a certificate of citizenship.

I hope you Enjoyed reading my blog hope you have an awesome day.

  1. Mālō e lelei Marwah,

Cia here from the Summer Learning Journey Ako Hiko team.

I can see you have read up on some facts about New Zealand. Remember that although the activity is asking that you use the information on the linked website, you must make sure you paraphrase any information (put it in to your own words).

Please rethink and edit your post to include three chosen facts that have been paraphrased by you.

For future posts, please make sure that all your posts are written in your own words in order to make sure you receive full points for activities.

Keep working at it Marwah, I look forward to reading your edited post :)

Toe feiloa’i fo’i (see you again),

    Cia.

  2. Hey Marwah
I like the way you ended your blog with see ya later alligator.
Remember Marwah you shouldn't copy those sentences from the summer learning journey site you should always remember to put sentences into your own words.
